To Rex Englebash, Cairo Museum p.c. dated by postmark 1PPA after they had dug at Tarkhan under Petrie
Regards to P.
Enclosed the more civilised part of our sitting-room! You'll see we aren't over-luxurious, in spite of reports, but the mosaic is good, & the Hittite flower vases; we have also some good Damascene tiles, Arab woodwork, and really fine tapestries: Finds are wonderful this year: a (whole) gallery of sculptures: ( ... ) inscriptions of length: are (staying) on till July.
T.E.L.
(A Hellenistic marble table is seen in the photo. P. is Petrie, the mosaic Roman & patterned. The corner of the p.c. is obliterated when the brackets are)
