COPY. 338171 a/c Shaw R.A.F. Mont Battn Plymouth. 21 - II - 32. Dear Isham, Close upon yesterday's mailing time, when I wrote to you, came a letter from a friend of mine in London, enclosing the only English echo of this last month's publishing of my Odyssey in New York. You will see that it's only a modest shout, which will not disturb my retirement. However, we have written to Bumpus, the erring firm, and asked them to withdraw the notice and the copies for sale! So all is peace here, again. Yours, T.E. SHAW.
