My Lord,
I spent 14 days away. Winston releases me on
Tuesday. Vol. 2 is not yet complete from the printer.
I expect it about next Saturday. ............

"It is abnormally good of you to offer the cottage.
A month ago I would have leaped at it. On Saturday a man
offered to help me to a job which I've wanted to do since
1919. I don't know if it will come off yet or not;
but I think it will: and in that case it will hold me in
London for at least a year. No money in it, but keep,
and very interesting work."
