Motijs of leaves and vine clusters in ornament
of Palace of Khounouk – Khondattes or Varnakcha
in the oasis of Bon – Khans and in the Umayyad
monuments of the near-East ie the mosque of
Al – Aqsa at Jerusalem, with its nearly naturalist
rendering etc.
The decoration of the N – G is non ornamental
with
martial sassanian, sogdian and ummayad
of the 6 – 58 Cent and the sculptures stucco of
Samarkand and Nishgapou of The Xth Cent.
In 10th Cent. AL-MOUQUADDASSI describes
balka. Superficially it is of the same order
as Bokhana but its houses are large, comparable
to those of Dandankan; They are decorated with
wall ornaments of planters.
He owes the “Ahran- at – Takasim fi Maaisfat –
Akaim. Stunned by beauty of stucco.
