Dear G.B.
The enclosure made me laugh; but Liddell-Hart got it
wrong. Great wealth would furnish me with a Phantom II,
having drafts on its running board. The chauffeur would
follow up - and when it rained we would sling the bike, and
both of us dodge inside! I wouldn't let the blighter ride it.
Good news about the new wonder. I hope it pleases
you. Beg them to go on riding it till they can sell everything
perfect except the paint.
As for collection - it cannot be this holiday. I will
try to make it soon after. What have I to do, for insuring
etc.?

My present bike has a 3rd party insurance policy/issued
by the Motor Union Insurance Co. of 1 70 Cornhill. Haven't a
to get some sort of a cover before I use the next? I forget
totally, it being so long since I changed.
George VII is a superb article, and I shall part from
him with a pang. A very smooth and flexible engine, fast
enough to deal with all the bikes in Hampshire, apparently. I
do hope I'm wise in changing.
If there are no formalities I might get to Nottingham
about May 25 .... Friday night or Saturday morning; but I
have Air Ministry and War Office people all the week till
Thursday, here, to see the boats. So it may have to be the
week following. I'd like to see you and hear your views on the
new one! I hope you have photographed him!
Yours ever
T E Shaw
