Of course, keep the book for the while. The print is so bad that no one has yet read it all. (Upon reflection, I think the fault of that does not lie wholly in the print!) I should have sent you this sample, which was done for elsewhere, to save your eyes the strain. You will see that the excisions include the first chapter. My proofs are being read by the Shaws (B.B.S. & Mrs.)
