TO: G.F.J. Cumberlege. From cmby Plymouth 16.XI.52 Dear Cumberlege Thank you for your letter of Nov.2. I am glad you and B.R. are happy concerning the U.S.A. edition of the Odyssey. They tell me the Emory Walker edition is going off fairly well - at least it has paid expenses. So far as I am concerned there is no objection to the U.S.A. edition being sold in India - or in any other British possession or dominion; I live in England,- and the ban applies only to the U.K. & Free State of Ireland. If your press will do its best to restrict the British sales (and imports) it may do its worst in the rest of the earth! Yours, T. E. Shaw.
