Dear Mr. Doughty,
Perhaps I'll be near Eastbourne on Sunday next, and with a motor-bicycle at my disposal. I'd be glad to try and run across about mid-day, and call in for a few minutes.
Don't worry to answer, because I can't give you an address which would find me before then, and the run, if I make it, will be done just on the off-chance of finding you in, and able to see me. You probably know that I'm in the Air Force now, and that means that I have no spare time, (of my own disposing at least) and can't hope to visit Eastbourne in the normal way.
