Therefore a week-end rules itself out : but if I can borrow my former motor-bike I'll come over on Sunday afternoon. That way I avoid the necessity of getting a pass. There's an "if" you see, in it : and a vagueness of "when" ..... any time from 2.30 (I'll be precisely later for lunch, to be sure) to 4.30. No, cancel that. The poor old thing isn't as cared for as she used to be, & perhaps the lights won't work. So I'll nip over about 11 A.M., and talk the question of the book & map over with you and hop off again. Yours T.E.S. Don't reproach me if I don't come. Life is uncertain here.
