To H.Williamson 14.V.34 have the house to live in, without rule, (I have never had any sort of house of my own before, and there are so many things I have not yet done, that I can hardly be lonely or bored. I'm not ,I think, a lonely person; though often and generally alone. There is a distinction. I like your hypothesis to explain my character, by the way; if that experience behind it, I fancy. Ill-pleasure myself not know. I measure myself against the fellows I meet and work with, and find myself ordinary company, but bright and sensible. Almost I would say popular! We will find ourselves together soon! T.B.S.
