Dear Hanley
A fine effort: please congratulate Mrs. Hanley
and the kid. In fact congratulate the kid first, he having
drawn good brought it, whereas only time can show what sort
of a kid you've drawn!
I hope all goes on well, medically and financially.
I've had several tries, in the latter direction, to get
people interested in your doing books for them, critically.
Not much chance, I fear: but it may lead to something
before too late. I'm afraid this kid will be... much, in
the way of expense.
Marshall gives me hopes of Captain Betteridge in
the very near future.
