2nd. wheel-made petrie polished, in red and black: no decora-
tion, except for one piece in shiny blac ... ware, with incised
herring-bone ornament over the shoulders
Etc. The mushroom-pot tombs: wheelmode with hand-made stems:
? unpolished but ro... wor? in fine clay: five hard painted pat-
terns, chevron or zig-rallel, a round, ... ? ... and so etc.
4th. "Trellis l...lous" shallow flat plates of polished buff body:
stone-ware jars, and the "prent pot." The beginning of animal &
goddess terracottas.
These are all from the E.E. heading and cut: somewhere about 2.
should be put in a layer of hand-made shallow cup-bowls, appar-
ently ceremonial, since they were f...ound mouth-downwards cover-
ing the soft crumbl... earth which appears to be decayed flesh.
The exact order of 1. 2. 3. is to taste.
