Dear K,
I've been asked by a Tank Corps O.S.M. a very jolly old thing with twin sweeping plumas of moustache, and flung-out : sets: how here in Quetta, "...
Revolt in the Desert" does not contain a portra... of Auda? "Did he die too soon?
"Did he refuse to sit to Kennington? "Did sto. sto. sto.
Now I'm fond of this old thing, and I'd like to please him - - - - so if you have a spare proof of Auda will you send it me? Not your last and greatest (except for Ato and Mine) treasure, if you are in that state . . . but either a coloured print or a black and white proof, if one is readily available.
Otherwise: - no news. I hear rumours that the "Revolt" book... is selling ... I hardly believe it, but bope so, for my debts' sake. "... have come to Karachi: so my peace here has not a quiver on its oily surface.
But a hell of a lot of dust.
T.E.S.
Were any of your copies of the book well enough bound to gratify O.?
I hope you sold the rest on the top of the market.
If you did, your out of pocket expenses of going to and fro between Chiswick and Peckham should have been partly met.
I think as publishers our firm have made a distinct success of it.
How is poor old M.P.?
My mother is on her way back to England. I hope she will meet O. again. Good for her. Cheering.
