Dear Mr Brough
Thank you very much. I have £30 already, and can
get the balance shortly, I think. It is a very good
offer, for my present bike is very rusted and shattery.
It hasn't been down, & is quite good-running yet; but
looks its age, fully. The only perfect thing is the tank,
which can be transferred to George VII, if you are short
of Staybrite tanks.
It is possible to have Woods valves? These Schraders
are a public nuisance, I think.
The article on your "4" is interesting. When I come up
I shall try & see one of them, if you have any in the place.
When do you think I should plan to come? There is no
wild hurry, of course, and in any case I cannot quite choose
my own time; but if you could give me a certain date after
which it will be ready, then I can ask for leave. Are there
insurance troubles? My present bike has only a 3rd party
& pillion policy, with the 60 Cornhill branch of the Motor
Union Insurance Co. Can I transfer it, or must I get a new
policy?
Yours sincerely
T E Shaw
