He took us in his jeep to the nomads, they were
Pathans [Pakhtuns] from near Gardez who came into
Ghrat annually with cloth and belts and [illegible]
trading them for sheep which they then sold in
Kabul. One man with bloodshot eyes and a
dense black trimmed mustache, the other cattarhal
and craggy with intense blue eyes.
They wandered because they have no land
Not true. They would not want it if they had it
they agreed. Good russulman[?] Omllah[?] with them
No leader since they left the mountains. Each tent
equal. Same route through Logar and
Kabul. Left families in Bamiyan.
