Dear Jock
I apologise for the weather. It must have been an
accident: but if raining, why waste tap-water? Surely a
good feat run down the road in a swimming costume......
Now for Christmas. I have just heard that my leave
will probably let me reach the Hill late on ... the
day 21st or so: and stay till some early hour on Thursday27th.
Not so bad.
You are very welcome to add yourself to the invent-
ory of the outlines, before, during or after ... times. It
will greatly add to my pleasure and humour if you are
there. Pat was cheered up by you a Jazzy (... ...) times to

his singes own co-topography Christmas route-march and
tinned chicken. I have ordered two tinned chickens: also
tread, butter, milk, candles, paraffin, sookies. If you get

I will/not guarantee the weather: but we now have a
coffee pot and a teapot: so you will be well fed.
