To Major General A. P. Wavell. 338171 A.C.II Shaw Hut 105 R.A.F. Cadets College Cranwell Lines. 29. VIII. 25 Dear Wavell Your letter has followed me up here. I have changed my skin, & love the new one ; though the job is less good, & the pay less. & the aspect of the countryside very bleak. However - if things were twenty times worse I would still do it with contentment, for the R.A.F. is a show of my own. The book halts, staggers, for the moment. When I am settled, & can make leisure for my- self, it will move on again. Yours sincerely T.E.Shaw
