Because it had wind protection. They were wet and it was very cold. To have dashed them to Batten in 213 at 30 m.p.h. would have finished them off, probably.
For about £20 each these/boats could be made into the cabin type. I think it should be considered, if any reconstruction is due eventually.
Salvage
A discreet paraphrase of part of mynote on crash kit has gone to G/A. Too discreet to have much hitting power, I fear. I wonder who is supposed to do it ? There is an open field in marine aircraft salvage equipment. I entirely agree with H.G. taking it on. You will want a "moorings" office soon, as work increases.
Cradle
Excellent news. 201 is not due till late in Feb. So that will be just right.
