Dear Beaumont
Stu...in Southampton this year for the winter, boat-
building. My proper station is Felixstowe, but the R.A.F. send
me to whatever shipyard is carrying out their current con-
tract, to watch over the making of the boats.
I have only fourteen months to do. So soon I shall
be a civy again. Rather too late to take up any other job.
I shall, I rather lost, in charge of myself after all those
years. Such a little old man, now I'm 46! I hope your affairs
are well. They say things are better; but personally the
only good thing I saw in 1933 was the weather, which down
here was marvellous. I hope you enjoyed some of your time.
I haven't been north this year - except for 3 days at
(...and three at Bridlington?*?*? Manchester - both on duty. So I couldn't
try to get near you. After I come out we must try to meet.
Best wishes for 1934/
Yours
T E Shaw/
