All I hope is that it will turn out a proper job in the end. The old bike has reached the 19000 mark and is running like stink. How fast, I don't know, for the speedometer died on me between Andover and Salisbury; but quite fast, yet. I'm not bothering to mend the gadget, in view of the chance of a change-over shortly; but you should bear the liability in mind, when you take her over. Other needs:- New electric wiring New control cables New windscreen New head-race. (The present one is pitted, I don't worry, but the next owner would wonder where his "Brough" steering had gone) These things are trifles. The engine sounds to me as healthy as possible; and if you'd seen me dropping the county mobile police last week-end, one by one along the Forest roads, you'd have been pleased with our performance. It's been a wonderful bike, and I shall be very sorry to see it left behind at your Works some day. Please find a kind new owner for it! Yours ever T E Shaw
