Dear Brum
Just a line with the new address. The R.A.F.
use this place as a sort of guest barracks, but just
now the practice camp is closed, and so I'm the only
fellow staying here. Funky.
There are ten boats in the shed, and a lot of
carpentry repairs needed. I shall be busy here for
weeks and weeks.
My bike is left in the South; but when things
go easier, some Saturday or Sunday, I'll look out a
train to Brum, and we will get that snap taken. So
keep your blue for the occasion. I've tasted my
scruffy suit, and it looks quite a posh enough for a
man in his last few months.
Best of wishes and cheerio
Ted.
